Ages 4-10

Exploration awaits this summer at Explorations V Children’s Museum’s summer camp in downtown Lakeland. Weekly themes take campers across the world and throughout time as kids become investigators and problem solvers.

BONUS:  In addition to each weekly theme, campers have exclusive program time with the Museum’s technology educators in THE LAB and will practice critical thinking skills through games and challenges.

Camp Day

9 am – 3 pm

Drop off opens: 8:30 am

Pick up ends: 5:30 pm, late pick-up fee of $1 per minute past 5:30

  • Prehistoric Planet

    June 3 – 7

    From dinosaurs to volcanoes, the prehistoric earth looked a lot different than it does today. Discover those differences and test theories through experiments and research.

  • Mu-ZOO-eum (Ages 7-10 SOLD OUT)

    June 10-15

    Zoologists have to know about a lot of different animals. Big, small, slimy, rough, these animal-loving scientists work with them all. Step into the shoes of a zoologist and learn about our animal friends.

  • Kitchen Chemists (Ages 7-10 SOLD OUT)

    June 17 – 21

    Kids are chemists with household ingredients. Go beyond baking soda to learn how to get a reaction out of the kitchen.

  • Express Yourself

    June 24 – 28

    Art is a powerful way to express and learn about yourself. Find what type of art speaks to you as you practice a variety of visual and performing arts.

  • Maker Week (Ages 7-10 SOLD OUT)

    July 8 – 12

    From hammers to hems, campers will work with their hands and real tools to become a maker.

  • Time Machine (Ages 7-10 SOLD OUT)

    July 15 – 19

    Jump through the centuries and land in the future in the camp explorations time machine! Discover how people used to live and use that to plan how people might live 100 years from now.

  • Mythical & Mystical (Ages 7-10 SOLD OUT)

    July 22 – 26

    Fiction is fun when it comes to unicorns, trolls, and mermaids. What other mythical and mystical creatures are in our traditions? And what are you able to create?

  • Camp Detectives (Ages 7-10 SOLD OUT)

    July 29 – August 2

    What clues can we find to solve the mystery? Learn the science that sleuths use and put it into practice.

  • It’s a Party!

    August 5 – 9

    Everyone loves a good party and we are throwing one every day. Campers manage the budget, plan the decorations, prepare the food, and pick the celebration. From birthday to new years, there’s lots of reasons to celebrate.  Save the date for a special camp graduation party on Friday!
